Our Commitment to Accessibility

Swimpool 360's accessibility commitment means making our website available to all users, including those with disabilities. As a WCAG-compliant pool company in Toronto, we strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards to provide equitable access to information about our pool installation, renovation, and maintenance services in the GTA.

Accessibility is not an afterthought at Swimpool 360 - it is part of how we build and maintain our accessible website for pool service customers in Ontario. Our goal is to ensure that every user, regardless of ability or assistive technology, can successfully navigate our website, read our content, and contact us about our services.

AODA Compliance - Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities

As an Ontario-based business, Swimpool 360 operates under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). The AODA establishes accessibility standards for customer service, information and communications, employment, transportation, and the design of public spaces. Our website is maintained with AODA requirements in mind.

The AODA's Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation requires that organizations make their websites and web content conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA. We have extended our commitment to the more current WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard, which includes additional success criteria addressing mobile accessibility, cognitive accessibility, and low vision needs.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we are actively working to identify and address any remaining accessibility gaps. Known current limitations include:

  • Interactive map features: Our service areas page uses embedded mapping which may have limited screen reader support. We provide a full written list of service areas as an alternative.
  • Third-party embedded content: Some third-party widgets (such as review integrations) may not fully meet WCAG AA. We work with vendors to improve accessibility where possible.
  • Legacy PDF documents: Any PDF documents linked from our site may not be fully accessible. Contact us to request accessible alternatives.

We conduct periodic accessibility reviews and prioritize remediation of identified issues. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please contact us - your feedback directly informs our accessibility improvements.

Service Accommodations

For customers who require accommodations to access our pool services in person, please contact us in advance and we will make reasonable arrangements to accommodate your needs. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Providing written quotes and service documentation in accessible formats
  • Scheduling consultations at times and locations that accommodate mobility or transportation needs
  • Communicating via email or text in addition to phone calls
  • Providing extended time for review of service agreements
