Equipment inspection is one of the most valuable parts of the pool opening process. After an Ontario winter with freeze-thaw cycles reaching as low as minus 25 to minus 30 Celsius, pool equipment that was not fully winterized can suffer internal damage that isn't visible until you run the system in spring. Our technicians check: pump impeller and seal for wear, filter tank for cracks or compromised media, heater heat exchanger for scale build-up or cracking, all unions and valve stems for weeping leaks, pressure gauge calibration, and timer and automation settings.
Catching a failing pump seal at opening costs a fraction of what an emergency mid-summer repair costs when the pump seizes and floods the equipment pad. Swimpool 360 has been performing pool opening inspections since 2010 and our technicians recognize early warning signs that less experienced crews overlook. If we find a problem during the opening, we clearly explain the severity, the risk of deferring repair, and the cost, so you can make an informed decision. For anything beyond a basic adjustment, our pool repair team handles all equipment repairs across the GTA.
